Accelerated transfer speeds and enhanced power efficiency

The latest DDR5 modules provide 50%-faster transfer rates, on a reduced default operating voltage of just 1.1V — or around 8% more efficient than DDR4’s 1.2V requirement. This helps to optimize overall system power management. Moreover, the power management IC (PMIC) on each DIMM offers more stable power delivery and stronger signaling for improved energy efficiency. Furthermore, built-in error-correction code (ECC) technology ensures data accuracy and system reliability, making ASUS IoT motherboards and edge systems ideal for Intel® Core™ processors (14th gen) for computing-intensive applications.

For example, Intel® Core™ processors (14th gen) support up to 16 PCIe® 5.0 lanes that offer double the speed of PCIe 4.0, and up to four PCIe 4.0 lanes. Such flexibility facilitates system configuration and system upgrades to full computing capability over the course of a device's operational lifetime. PCIe 5.0 support also ensures a higher-bandwidth connection to GPUs and SSDs for lower latency and optimal performance.
